2020 has been one of the most difficult years in BUSHkids’ history—with continued drought, devastating bushfires and the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic—BUSHkids has come through it alongside the Queensland communities we are proud to be a part of.
This year’s annual report chronicles our journey through this turbulent year and includes heart-warming stories from the kids and families we were able to continue supporting through this difficult time.

The revised constitution will help us to better support families in regional and rural areas of Queensland.
BUSHkids’ constitution is the set of principles and rules we follow in the provision of all our services such as the age of the children we support and how we go about providing services to families. We have received the tremendous pro bono support and expertise of Clayton Utz, and BUSHkids is very grateful for the time and attention which has been so generously given to us over the past two years.

The Royal Queensland Bush Children’s Health Scheme annual report is published each year on December 6, the anniversary of the organisation’s creation in 1935. The annual report details all our operations over the previous year, the services we have provided, how many children and families we have supported and BUSHkids’ financial position. It also outlines what BUSHkids is planning to do in the coming year to provide support to children and families in rural and regional Queensland.
