Our News & Events:

The Warwick Centre is very active in the local community.

Bush Children's Annual Golf Day 2011

On a bracing Sunday morning 104 golfers registered to play and braved the cold winds. They were of all ages and golfing abilities, and there were some great outfits worn by some of the teams!

In October 2011 the Warwick Centre held it’s first ever Charity Golf Day. Read our News and see the reports from local media.

Warwick Jumpers and Jazz Festival tree display

The Warwick Jumpers and Jazz Festival is an annual event for the community. One of the highlights is the ‘dressing’ of the trees in the main street. BUSHkids' Warwick team participated in this important community event by nominating to decorate a tree. The approach taken by the team was to involve children who were already clients of the service to participate in a group craft event held at the Centre. The theme was based on a very popular children’s’ book ‘Aliens Love Underpants’. The craft group created the decorations but the primary outcome was the ability by the therapists (OT & SLP) to provide modelling and support for the development of social skills; fine and gross motor skills and language development.

The tree was a great success and the team are very pleased with the positive outcomes from this approach to groups and are looking forward to next year.
